SŌL is a piece of the sun.
In 2025, I was honored to be one of two Large Heart artists for Hearts in San Francisco, the sculpture project benefiting the city's public hospital. I named my heart SŌL, and I opened my studio for a day, inviting the community to paint a few of the stems alongside me.
SŌL carries the belief that runs through all my work: wherever we stand, we live under the same sun.
It was unveiled at Union Square, where it stood from October 2025 to June 2026, after first being displayed at the Ferry Building. City leaders gathered to celebrate the unveiling, which drew coverage from local news across the Bay Area.
